Here's what U.S. strategists told me their jobs look and feel like

Thank you to all who completed and shared the survey. The research is imperfect, but informative. There are some conclusive findings, and some areas for exploration.

This survey was born of separate conversations I was having with strategists about uncertainty in their roles, and agency owners about how to shape and guide strategy in their shops. Hundreds of people showed up with responses to tell me how strategy looks from their individual perspective.

This research is certainly of a time, reflecting the mindset of of people during a pandemic. Though it was written to avoid issues related to that, people did respond about remote work. If you’re curious about the pandemic, I recommend this APG survey that was just released as an accompanyment.
